Board of Directors
Joining as the 14th member in the capacity of a Trainee Executive of Ceylinco Grameen, one of the first institutions to commence microfinance in Sri Lanka, Mr Udugama rose to the position of Regional Manager within 7 years. He was an initial member of Agriculture Credit Company Limited of Ceylinco Group. Further, he overlooked the overall operations of Ceylinco Grameen Products Company Limited. During his 7 years tenure at Ceylinco Grameen, which was full of milestone achievements, he gained comprehensive experience in customer evaluation, Social Performance Objectives Management (SPOM), product designing and re-engineering, and market expansion. Mr Udugama commenced microfinance in Commercial Credit and Finance PLC. He developed Commercial Credit’s microfinance portfolio managing 2,200 employees and serving 350,000 customers within a period of 7 years. He expanded the microfinance network of the Company to 123 from 14 locations at the end of March 2015. He later functioned as the Head of All Products of Commercial Credit and Finance PLC. As the Head of Microfinance, he established BG Microfinance Myanmar Company Limited in 2014. He functioned as the Director of Capital Life Insurance and BG International (Private) Limited. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cardiff Metropolitan University (United Kingdom).
Kasun carries 19 years of experience in the Finance Industry, comprising 13 years in the Finance Co., including 6 years as a Manager, along with over 3 years of experience in Commercial Credit and Finance PLC as Location Head. He obtained his professional qualifications in the field of marketing by receiving the title of Charted Marketer in 2021, becoming a member of Charted Institute of Marketing in 2021, Charted Management Institute in 2021, and the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing in 2021. He obtained his Diploma in Credit Management in 2010. Kasun serves as the Chief Administrations Officer and has the unique responsibility of optimizing operational performance while providing leadership to the marketing and human resources functions. He is also the Chief Marketing Officer of Evoke Labs (Pvt) Ltd. and a Director of FL Solutions Myanmar Co. Ltd.
Sanjaya is a veteran in the finance industry with over 18 years of experience, comprising 8 years in The Finance Co. and 7 years in Commercial Credit and Finance PLC in the capacity of Head of Operations. He is part qualified in AAT and obtained his Advanced Diploma in Business Management in 2008. Sanjaya is the Chief Operations Officer and is the guiding force that drives FLI’s branch network toward the company goals.
